After making his mark in the world of Radio, actor Ayushmann Khurrana made his acting debut with Vicky Donor in 2012. The film went to become a massive hit winning the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 60th National Film Awards.

As the movie clocks 9 years, actor Ayushmann also clocks his 9 years long journey in the entertainment industry and pens a gratitude note for people who helped him on his journey.

The note read, “If I look back now, it seems like yesterday. The year 2012 and now it’s 2021. Coincidentally they’re the same jumbled digits. This shot reminds me of composing the line “kothe utte baeh ke akhiyaan milaunde”, I had written this verse of Paani Da Rang while I was shooting on this location, close to Rajouri Garden in Delhi. With perpetual butterflies in my stomach, I shot for this film, playing cricket or football with shoojit da, post pack up, every single day”

“Thank you Shoojit da for being a great mentor. Thank you, Juhi for coming up with this benchmark of a script and altering the course of Hindi cinema. Thank you Ronnie da for being the coolest producer. And thank you big bro John Abraham for backing this gem. I owe it to you guys! Thank you, Yami, Annu ji, Dolly ji, Veera, Negi ji, and the entire team. Thank you universe for realizing my big Bollywood dream…#9YearsOfVickyDonor #9YearsOfAyushmannKhurrana @shoojitsircar @juhic3 @thejohnabraham @ronnie.lahiri @yamigautam @veerakapuree @annukapoor #DollyAhluwalia @rochakkohli #AbhishekArora #AkshayVerma @jogifilmcasting #KamaljeetNegi” read the full note.

Apart from new setbacks, Ayushmann has starred in commercially and critically successful movies, such as Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Badhaai Ho, Dream Girl, Bala, Andhadhun, Article 15, and more.

Khurrana is next slated to appear alongside Vaani Kapoor in Abhishek Kapoor’s next film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which became the first film to be wrapped up during the pandemic. He has committed to appear in Junglee Pictures’s Doctor G as Dr Uday Gupta opposite Rakul Preet Singh, a film directed by Anubhuti Kashyap. It is his third collaboration with Junglee Pictures after Bareilly Ki Barfi and Badhaai Ho.

He is also shooting for Anek with Anubhav Sinha.
