Bhumi Pednekar along with Sony BBC Earth announces top 10 winners of ‘Young Earth Champions’

Back in January, actress Bhumi Pednekar teamed up with Sony BBC Earth for Young Earth Champions, a nationwide contest for climate conscious students. After receiving various entries for the contest and interacting with 10 students, the actress has finally revealed the mega winner.

Sharing a video on the contest, she shared, “We’ve got a winner 🙂 @Sony BBC Earth and I are thrilled to announce the top 10 winners of “Young Earth Champions contest. I had the pleasure of interacting with these bright young minds about their innovative and eco friendly ideas for a sustainable future. You can check out the winning entries on www.sonybbcearth/youngearthchampions and get inspired from these #Climate Warriors. Our small steps can make a BIG difference so I urge all of you to get inspired by these young minds and start working towards a better tomorrow.”

The contest was open for class five to nine students who had to submit entries for the most innovative ideas that can make cities and communities more sustainable. The top 10 winners interacted with her and they discussed on ideas to save environment.

The actress was tested positive for Corona on April 5 and since then she is under home quarantine.

On the work front, the actress will be seen in Badhaai Do which is the second instalment of the super-hit film Badhaai Ho. It features Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film will again deal with a social subject where Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a PT Teacher who aspires to play Handball for the country while Rajkummar will be seen playing the role of a tough cop.

The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures.
