After releasing a stunning and poignant trailer of Chhapaak, starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey in the lead roles. The makers of the film will drop the first single, Nok Jhok from the film today, the first look is out!
Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar just took to her social media profile and dropped the first look and deed on the song. The song is created by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, it is written by Gulzar, featuring Deepika and Vikrant. The song will be out today at 11 Am, as the filmmaker confirmed in her tweet.
In the film, Deepika Padukone is playing Malti, a character inspired by the character of Laxmi Agarwal. Vikrant Massey is playing Amol, a social activist (and later Malti’s partner) inspired by the character of Alok Dixit.
The heart-warming and gut-wrenching real-life drama is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor, whose story resonate true spirit of survival and bravery.
Talking about taking much a challenging and gut-wrenching story, Deepika said she found the story inspiring and knew Megha Gulzar would do justice to the film. She said, “One of the most important among other things, it’s the marriage between having that story and also having the right person to tell it. I could see the sincerity, honesty and I knew I was in good hands”
Chhapaak is produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. It is scheduled for release on January 10, 2020
