Actress Sonnalli Seygall says she is not nervous about her forthcoming solo release Jai Mummy Di, on the contrary she is excited as the feedback for the film is positive.
Sonnalli Seygall was interacting with media on the sidelines of Bhangra Paa Le special screening. The makers of Bhangra Paa Le organized a special screening of the film for friends and family. Celebrities such as Sidhart Roy Kapur, Sunny Kaushal, Vicky Kaushal, Sneha Taurani, Ramesh Taurani, Radhika Madan, Rukhsar Dhillon, Abhimany Dassani and more graced the screening.
After massive hit Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, actress Sonnalli Seygall is reuniting with Sunny Singh for forthcoming romantic comic caper Jai Mummy Di.
Talking about her film, she said, “I am excited about my film. So far we have released three songs, Lambhorgini, Mummy Nu Pasand and Daryiaganj, and they have crossed 20 million hits, so the songs are doing really good. My personal feedback is also good, film’s feedback is also amazing, and so it’s all positive and good vibes across. I am busy with the promotions as the film releases in two weeks”
“The response is so good that I don’t really have any nervousness. I am really very excited about the film. I am also excited about the fact that it’s my first solo release and it’s a proper romantic comedy film, where I am not doing any Punchnama stuff, I get the guy in the film”
Further adding, she said, “It is also a real film, people who have seen the film so far told me that they can relate with it. The film has this Delhi-Desi vibe. My character is also different, as I have not done any such character before. I am waiting for the film to release. The film is real space are really working these days, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.”
Talking about Sneha Taurani’s directorial debut starring Sunny Kaushal and Rukhsar Dhillon in the lead, Sonnalli said, “I am a Punjabi, so every time I hear the word Bhangra I get excited. The director of this film Sneha Taurani has been my working colleague from the past. I did a film with Phantom, titled Hijack, and Sneha was the AD on the film. She is an amazing director and I am very fond of her as a person.”
Jai Mummy Di is helmed by Navjot Gulati, the film also features actors Supriya Pathak and Poonam Dhillon. It was produced by Luv Films and distributed by T-Series. The film is scheduled to be released on 17th Jan, 2020.
