Actress Taapsee Pannu, who had four releases this year, says Saand Ki Aankh was the finale film of this year for me.

Taapsee Pannu was interacting with media on the sidelines of Skechers Walkathon in Mumbai.

Starting 2019 with Badla and following it with Game Over, Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh, Taapsee Pannu ruled the box-office.

When asked about the kind of appreciation and accolades she got for Saand Ki Aankh, Taapsee said, “It was a finale for me, I had four movies released this year and I was hoping that my movie, Saand Ki Aankh, was the finale film and I wanted it to be as good as the first movie, Badla, this year”

“Saand Ki Aankh was the most challenging experiment and risk of my career so far. But the kind of love and appreciation I got, especially from mothers, grandmothers and girls, was amazing. Never before I’ve got that kind of love, so I will remember it forever” added Taapsee.

Based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, the biographical drama Saand Ki Aankh also starred Bhumi Pednekar and Prakash Jha in the lead roles. The film opened with critical and commercial bang.

Talking about the initiative, Taapsee said, “Nowadays everyone is aware about the importance of fitness. Everyone knows the value of fitness. Every time there is an event about fitness, the turn-out is great, and Skechers is a brand which is all about fitness, so people expect something like this from them. And I have been Marathon’s before but not Walkathon”.

Meanwhile on the work front, Taapsee is currently busy with Thadka and Thappad.

Tadka is directed by actor Prakash Raj. The film is a remake of the 2011 Malayalam blockbuster Salt N’ Pepper, also starring Ali Fazal and Shriya Saran.

Thappad is helmed by Anubhav Sinha under his banner Benaras Media Works. The film features Taapsee Pannu, Arjun Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Sharman Joshi and Pavail Gulati in the lead roles. The film is based on a female-oriented subject that defies narratives typecasting women.
