Actor Sanya Malhotra celebrated her birthday with the teaser of her upcoming new film, Pagglait. The quirky comedy stars her as Sandhya, a woman whose husband of five months has died. However, she cannot seem to care too much about it.

The story of the film about a young girl as she discovers her purpose and identity amidst looming questions about love and belonging in the neo-modern small-town India. In the teaser, Sandhya’s brother-in-law getting tonsured, ruing how she has become a widow with his brother’s death. But Sandhya is lying in her bed, yawning through Facebook tributes for her husband.
Pagglait is written and directed by Umesh Bist. The film was produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga, and Achin Jain under the banners Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment. The film also features Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, and Raghubir Yadav in lead roles.
The film will be out on Netflix on March 26.
