After back to back massive hits, Super 30 and Batla House, actress Mrunal Thakur makes her ramp-walk debut at on-going Lakme Fashion Week here in Mumbai.
The star-stubbed fashion extravaganza saw Mrunal Thakur walked the ramp in a traditional outfit by Designer Alka. The actress was all excited and happy to walk the runway at the fashion fiesta.
During the media interaction, Mrunal said, “This is my debut at Lakme Fashion Week, and in fact, it’s my designer’s first time at LFW as well, so nothing like a beginning. I am so happy wearing this garment by Alka, and I am happy to carry it, because it’s so comfortable. The fabric is good that I feel like I can walk, run and do whatever, this fabric is naturally dyed”
Talking about her style statement and fashion quotient, Mrunal said she prefers traditional and comfortable wear.
She said, “Fashion for me is comfort, if you are comfortable in what you are wearing, you can just rock the world. For a moment, I thought I will nervous walking the ramp for the first time in these outfits, but I was not”
“My style, I always follows traditional, I love sari, and I love wearing them. Ever since my childhood I have worn saris’ and traditional outfits and accessories, so that is my favorite”
“Somewhere down the line, I think we’re losing the touch with tradition, so it is really nice when Alka told me about a small village in Rajasthan, and their craft, these people make all this with their own hands, the entire garment is made my hands. So yeah, it feels good to be part of it” added Mrunal.
Mrunal is known for her role as Bulbul in Kumkum Bhagya. She has played the lead role in Tabrez Noorani and David Womark’s 2018 film Love Sonia.
