After making the official announcement about releasing Jr NTR’s first look from forthcoming RRR, on his birthday, the team has issued a new statement expressing regret that it won’t be possible due to lockdown.
Team of Most awaited Magnum Opus RRR directed by Ace Director SS Rajamouli made an announcement regarding the First Look of NTR, which was due release on 20th May. But now the team has issued a new statement stating that lockdown has been extended again and they won’t be able to keep up with their commitment.
The official handle of RRR Movie shared back to back two tweets, it read, “As the lockdown gets extended time and again, work has come to a dead stop. And though we tried our best, we couldn’t finish work on a glimpse of @tarak9999 to give you all a treat on his birthday! And so, we will not be releasing either a first look or a video on the occasion”
“We don’t want to release something just for the sake of it and we promise that the wait will absolutely be worth it! Whenever it comes to you, be sure it will be the biggest festival for all of us! #RRRMovie”
RRR also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. It is a fictional story revolving around India’s freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju from Andhra Pradesh and Komaram Bheem from Telangana who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.
The movie is set in the 1920s and follows the adventures of Raju and Bheem when they traveled to North India before coming back to their homeland and fought for freedom.
The film will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and more languages on 8 January 2021.
