“It’s 5.30 in the morning and I’m having my cup of tea. In less than two hours I’ll be taking my first shot. I’m excited, anxious, nervous… a bit of all actually as I embark on this very ambitious and adventurous journey called ‘Mumbai Saga’,” he tweeted.

The filmmaker also added, “It’s been 25 yrs since my first film AATISH released. Feels like yesterday. How time flies. Back then I’d never thought I’d get this far. Getting ready to start my new film I feel the same as I did back then. Guess some things never change. In my head I’m still the same kid.”

Set in the 1980s-’90s, the film revolves around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai. The project is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta and Sangeeta Ahir.
