Actor Abhishek Bachchan made his debut with JP Dutta’s Refugee in 2000, the actor celebrates his 20 years in the film industry with a stunning video featuring his early work on social media.

In 2000, Abhishek Bachchan made his acting debut with Refugee, a romantic drama film written and directed by J. P. Dutta. It also marked the debut of Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film also starred Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, and Anupam Kher. Refugee performed moderately well at the box office and was the fifth highest-grossing film of that year.

Abhishek Bachchan took to his social media and shared, “#RoadTo20 It’s hard to believe that at the end of this month I will complete 20yrs as an actor! It’s been a wonderful journey thus far. I’m not one to look back and dwell on the past, but, once in a while, it’s nice to remember the good and (sometimes) bad times.

#RoadTo20 is an attempt to take you through these 20 years of my life as an actor. Maybe relive some of the memories and experiences. It is a celebration of all the people that have made all this possible. The countless people who had faith and belief in a tall, slightly awkward, foreign returned 22yr old boy who had a lifelong dream… one that he has spent the last 20 years living”

Meanwhile on the work front, after over a 2-year disappearance from the screen, Abhishek played the lead role in Anurag Kashyap ‘s Manmarziyaan starring opposite Tapsee Pannu which got released in September 2018 and was successful at the box office.

After Manmarziyaan, Abhishek is slated to play the male lead in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production which is a biographical film about the love story of poet Sahir Ludhianvi and author Amrita Pritam.

He is also shooting for The Big Bull directed by Kookie Gulati. He will also be seen in Red Chillies Entertainment production Bob Biswas and Anurag Basu Productions film titled Ludo.
