Kudos to all the frontline workers who are risking their lives by working for the welfare of humanity amid COVID19 lockdown! But there are certain heinous activities taking place in our country where these frontline workers like doctors, policemen are being attacked by the citizens. Ayushmann Khurrana criticised the recent attacks on the police personnel that took place in the country amid the lockdown.
The ‘Andhadhun’ actor took to twitter and posted a statement which stated, “I feel terrible reading about the heinous attacks on cops and security personnel that is happening across the country. The police force is risking their lives every single day to keep us, our families and our friends safe and I condemn such attacks on them.
They are putting us and our lives before theirs and we should respect how they are fighting for us to keep us all protected. All Indians should celebrate the police force and salute them. Jai Hind!”
Recently an incident was reported in Northern Punjab where a police personnel’s hand was chopped off and six other officers were injured while enforcing coronavirus lockdown measures.
Prime Minister Modi also, while addressing the nation today on 14th April, 2020 specially requested the fellow Indians to respect the frontline workers and do not harm them by any means. After prospecting the current situation of the country, PM has extended the lockdown to 3rd May, 2020 all over the country.
