Mumbai’s live music scene is gearing up for an electrifying night as acclaimed hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut make their long-awaited return to the stage at antiSOCIAL, Lower Parel. Scheduled for November 27, the limited-capacity show marks the duo’s first performance at the venue in nine months, promising an unforgettable evening of razor-sharp lyricism, high-energy beats, and raw stage presence.
Joining the duo for the special event are Azadi Records’ DJ Blunt and co-founder Mo Styles, who will deliver back-to-back sets designed to keep the crowd energized from start to finish.
Who Are Seedhe Maut?
Seedhe Maut have emerged as one of the most influential voices in India’s contemporary hip-hop movement. Hailing from Delhi, the bilingual rap duo has built a reputation for their fearless storytelling, intricate wordplay, and socially aware lyricism.
Often compared to globally respected hip-hop partnerships such as Run The Jewels, Clipse, Mobb Deep, Black Star, and Black Hippy, Seedhe Maut have successfully carved out a distinct identity within India’s rapidly growing rap culture.
Their breakthrough project, 2 Ka Pahada, released in 2017, received widespread acclaim and established them as one of the most promising acts in the country’s underground music scene. Known off-stage as Rahul Dhande, DJ Blunt is a rapper, producer, sound engineer, and DJ who studied Music Technology in the United Kingdom before returning to India. As a key member of Mumbai’s ViceVersa collective, he has become a familiar presence in the city’s live music circuit.
Drawing inspiration from hip-hop icons such as Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Young Jeezy, Travis Scott, Future, and Rick Ross, DJ Blunt’s sets seamlessly blend classic anthems with contemporary chart-toppers, delivering an experience that resonates with both longtime hip-hop fans and new listeners.
