Singer and composer Vishal Dadlani just took to his social media profile and shared a devastating and shocking video to blast which took place in Beirut, Lebanon.

A huge explosion shook the Lebanese capital on Tuesday, causing wide-scale destruction across the city. Lebanon’s health ministry says the death toll from the Beirut explosion rose to at least 78. Nearly 4,000 people were injured.

It is reported that about 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate was being stored near the blast site without safety measures. Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab cited ammonium nitrate stored in a building as the likely cause of the explosion.

Singer Vishal Dadlani took to his social media profile and shared the video. He captioned it, “This happened in Beirut, Lebanon a little while ago. Never seen anything like it, don’t want to either. Jeez! (The explosion was apparently caused by sodium nitrite that had been confiscated from a ship over a year ago and stored in a fireworks-warehouse) Hoping against hope that no-one was hurt, but that seems unlikely, sadly”

Videos posted online showed a large column of white smoke billowing from the warehouse, followed by a much larger blast that caused a massive mushroom cloud of red smoke to hang over the city. Windows were smashed across Beirut, with tremors felt as far away as Cyprus.

Meanwhile on the work front, Vishal Dadlani along with his partner Shekhar Ravjiani will be scoring music for Khaali Peeli and Bunty Aur Babli 2.
