The game of table tennis, popularly called ping-pong, was developed in the 1880s in England as an alternative to lawn tennis – probably, as a safe indoor alternative in England’s famously temperamental weather. 26-year-old Bengaluru resident, and mechanical engineer by qualification, Harish Tiwari has been a state champion and a national-level player for the last seven years. And viewers of HistoryTV18 can see his gob-smacking talent on the next episode of the super-successful series, ‘OMG! Yeh Mera India’, which showcases the extraordinary talent and achievements of ordinary Indians across the length and breadth of the country.

Harish has more than 300 tricks up his sleeve, including blindfolded tricks and even hitting moving targets with a ping-pong ball. His skill and dexterity have to be seen to be believed! But the hard work he puts in is evident in each shot he hits. Any given trick shot takes between 15 minutes to eight hours for him to master.
