All aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out; CBI issues statement on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its statement on Monday said that they are conducting a professional investigation related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in which all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date.

The remarks came after Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said last week that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) probe is overshadowing and hindering the investigation to bring out the real truth in Sushant’s death case.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14. After a brief turf war between Mumbai Police and Patna Police, the case was transferred to the CBI last month. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are looking into the money laundering and drugs angles of the case, respectively.

The NCB on Saturday recorded statements of Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in the drugs probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus. It also arrested Dharma Productions’ executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad and court has placed him in remand till October 3. The agency has so far arrested at least 18 persons in these cases.

The anti-drug agency quizzed Bollywood actors Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika, her former manager Karishma Prakash, and fashion designer Simone Khambatta on Friday and Saturday in connection with the drugs case, has seized their mobile phones. Additionally, cell phones of Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant’s former talent manager Jaya Saha and Deepika’s former manager Karishma Prakash were also seized over alleged ‘drugs chat’.

No new summons have been issued by the NCB now and an official has said the team will be reviewing the case based on testimonies, arrests and evidence so far.

Rhea Chakraborty has been in jail since September 9; she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of organizing drugs for 34 year old late ‘Kai Po Che’ actor.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s family has accused Rhea Chakraborty of taking money from him, medicating him and playing a role in his death.
