Marking the 72nd Birthday of Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa, the makers of Thalaivi has dropped a stunning new first look poster of the film.
Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi unveiled her new look. Actress Kangana, who is a spitting image of Jayalalithaa, she is donning a white saree with a black and red border. She tied her hair in a neat bun and completed her look with a red vermillion and her pretty smile.
Kangana’s sister Rangoli dropped two pictures, one of Jayalalithaa and Kangana on her social media profile. She captioned the first picture, “Today is Jaya Amma’s birth anniversary. Remembering #Thalaivi the revolutionary leader”
Sharing Kangana’s new look, she captioned it, “Kangana in and as #Thalaivi … without any prosthetics or any special effets Kangana looks like Jaya Amma, shocking, determination can make anything happen #Thalaivi”
Thalaivi is a biographical film directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh under their respective banners Vibri Media and Karma Media And Entertainment. The story is about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with Kangana Ranaut playing the role of Jayalalithaa.
The film also stars Arvind Swami as M. G. Ramachandran, Poorna as V. K. Sasikala, Prakash Raj as M. Karunanidhi, Jisshu Sengupta as Shobhan Babu, and Madhoo as VN Janaki.
The film will be theatrically released in India on 26 June 2020.
