Mohsin from dynamic composing team of Javed-Mohsin says composing the entire album of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari has been an opportunity.

Noted for hit-tracks such as Ding Dang, Pal and more, composer duo Javed-Mohsin, designed the entire album of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Talking about composing the entire album of forthcoming comic caper set in 90’s, Mohsin said, “Composing the entire album was interesting and challenging. It was a huge opportunity for us, as these days composers don’t get the chance to compose the entire album because the makers are opting for multi-composer album. So when we got the chance to compose and design the entire album, we jumped at the opportunity because as composers you get a chance to explore different genres”.

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is set in 90’s, a satirical comedy drama about wedding planner and background checking during the time when mobile and net didn’t existed.

Taking up the challenge of creating retro songs for current upbeat market, Mohin said, “Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is based in 90’s, and makers were certain that they wanted the flavor of 90’s in the songs with a commercial twist, as the era was filled with commercial songs, one on one kind of songs. It was challenging to design the entire album, keeping the narration, theme and feel of the movie”

“For composers it’s important to understand the background of the movie, where it’s coming from, texture, mood and origin, once we got that sorted, we started composing songs from different genres depending on the situation in the film. We have done a romantic song, a club song, an item number, a promotional track and chasing song, we have done different genres” added Mohsin.

Produced by Zee Studios and directed by Abhishek Sharma, also starring Annu Kapoor, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa and Manoj Pahwa.

Film is slated for Diwali release.
