Actress Dia Mirza announced her pregnancy with a beautiful picture flaunting her baby bump on Thursday on social media. The actress who tied the knot back in February 2021 with Mumbai-based businessman Vaibhav Rekhi, is expecting her first child. She took to Instagram and penned beautiful lines that reads: “Blessed to be…One with Mother Earth…One with the Life Force that is the beginning of everything…Of all stories. Lullabies. Songs.Of new saplings.And the blossoming of hope. Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb.”
Bollywood celebrities like Konkona Sen Sharma, Anushka Sharma, Divya Khosla Kumar, Gauhar Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and many others congratulated Dia for new beginnings as a mother.
Fans flooded her social media post with loving comments and congratulatory messages. Post her wedding, Dia has been vacationing in Maldives with Vaibhav and her step daughter.
Meanwhile, there were also some trolls who started to target Dia for confirming her pregnancy just weeks after her marriage. A section of netizens started trolling the actress for getting pregnant before marriage and even posted some nasty comments on her post.
Dia Mirza was previously married to Sahil Sangha. They separated in 2019 after 11 years of togetherness. Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi got married on February 15. The wedding was a close-knit affair with only a handful of family members and friends attending the ceremony.
Dia Mirza, a former beauty queen, is best known for starring in films such as ‘Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein’, ‘Sanju’, ‘Dum’, ‘Dus’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, among others.
Dia was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Thappad’. The film also starred Taapsee Pannu, Pavail Gulati, Tanvi Azmi, Geetika Vidya, amid others. Dia’s next movie is ‘Wild Dog’, with Nagarjuna in the lead role. The Telugu film is being directed by Ahishor Solomon and also stars Saiyami Kher and Ali Reza in pivotal roles.
