Happy That People Still Appreciate My Work After 5 Decades Says Bappi Lahiri

Bollywood singer Bappi Lahiri is widely recognized throughout India as the sole originator of the disco beat in India. He is widely known as the “Disco King” in India, even today. The singer feels proud that even after 50 years he has succeeded in creating his magic in films like ‘Baaghi 3’ and many more.

Talking about his struggle in industry Bappi said, “It’s being 50 years in the Industry. And I am the only person whose 6 movies like are consecutively in the market. But such is not the case with others. This is all because my fans love me and appreciate my work a lot. I am really happy and feel great that they still love me as a playback singer.”

When asked about his plans on Holi on this Bappi said, “I am not playing Holi. And I think due to coronavirus many people might not celebrate this festival. But still, I’ll say if anyone is celebrating, they should play very safe and should take precautions.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Recently, Bappi Lahiri and Jimmy Girl Svetlana Agarval have sung the iconic song, Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja in the Russian version.

The song is from 1982 movie ‘Disco Dancer’, which was a hit not only in India but (surprisingly enough) in Russia. It drew millions to the theatre and became a national obsession.

About his upcoming movies, Bappi will compose music for ‘Ace Raja Rani Jackie And Joker’. It is a Tamil comedy movie, directed by Anil Sunkara. The cast includes Vaibhav Reddy, Shaam, Sneha Ullal, and others.

It is scheduled to release on 12 July 2020.
