Year 2020 was a great comeback for Bobby Deol as his film ‘Class of ’83’ and his debut web show ‘Aashram’ was loved by all. His role of Kashipur Wale Baba earned him huge appreciation and the actor has been recently awarded with Best Actor – Web Series in Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Awards 2021 for the same. The actor spoke to News Helpline about the award and much more.

Talking about the award, he said, “I am thankful to Prakash Jha for believing in and selecting me for the role of Kashipur Wale Baba. He got the best out of me as an actor and it was great working experience with him”.

Thanking his fans, he said, “I want to thank my fans and my new fans who have loved me in this role. Thank you for always supporting me.”

The actor has been tagged as the King of OTT with this award, talking about the same, he said, “Kings will come and go, I just want to focus on my work. It is your work that takes you ahead. I don’t believe in becoming number 1 or 2, I just want to continue doing good work.”

The actor also shared a photograph with his mother after winning the award and wrote, “To be in this moment with my mother.”

On the work front, he is currently busy with ‘Love Hostel’ which stars Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra alongside him. It is directed by Shanker Raman and is set against the backdrop of Rural India.

He will also be seen in the sequel of Apne titled ‘Apne 2′ which will also star his dad Dharmendra and his brother Sunny Deol. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal’ which will be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film will also feature Parineeti Chopra and Anil Kapoor.
