John Abraham starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ to clash with Salman Khan starrer ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ on Eid

Actor John Abraham starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ will release in theatres on Eid this year. The film will clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ at the box office on May 13. ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is a departure from its original Mumbai setting and will see John fighting corruption in Lucknow. Directed by Milap Zaveri, it stars Divya Khosla Kumar as the female lead.

Announcing the release date of Satyameva Jayate 2 with a new poster, John Abraham wrote on his Twitter handle, “This EID it’s SATYA vs JAY as LADENGE iss SAAL, Dono BHARAT MAA KE LAAL! #SatyamevaJayate2 releasing this EID on 13th May 2021 (sic).” In the poster, we can see John Abraham in his two characters. The actor is playing the roles of Satya and Jay in the film. Clearly, one of the characters is a police officer.

‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar’s T-Series and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment.

On the other hand, Salman had said in January that his film, ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, will hit theatres during Eid this year, but an exact release date wasn’t announced. He recently confirmed the release date on May 13 in a tweet that read, “Eid ka commitment tha, Eid par hi aayenge kyun ki ek baar jo maine… (Had committed for Eid, will arrive on Eid) #RadheOn13thMay.”

‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ also stars Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles. The film is the Hindi remake of the Korean action film ‘The Outlaws’, which starred Ma Dong Seok and Yoon Kye Sang.
