Talking about films competing for theatres post lockdown and filmmaker opting for theatrical release than OTT with Newshelpline, actor Gulshan Grover said, “For almost a year now, we’ve been watching film and series on OTT in our homes; we’ve been watching content from across the world. The OTT has its own advantages and it has given this unanimous feeling that we want to get out there and we want to have a real experience of watching a film”

Further adding, “We all have respect for the OTT platforms, they are here to stay and they will be an integral part of our lives, but when you release a film on OTT there is no festivity, there is no celebration, there is no noise, there is no getting together of people, no one calls you and expresses his enthusiasm of watching the film”

“Festivity was missing, publicity was missing, the excitement was missing, so therefore it all will come back and as for the competition among producer, there is no competition at the moment. They all wants to get to a theatre somehow or the other, people will make way for others, people will celebrate success of other producers” added Gulshan.

As for Sanjay Gupta directorial Mumbai Saga, the film is set in 80s & 90s, it chronicles the changing landscape of Mumbai when the mills were being replaced by malls and high rise buildings.
