Veteran actor Anupam Kher and filmmaker Sooraj Barjataya have collaborated on many super hit projects, and now the duo is working on Oonchai.
The movie is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to hit the floors in September this year. The movie will reportedly focus on friendships in old age and draws inspiration from Barjatya’s personal experiences as well. It’s a heart-warming tale of friendship.
Anupam Kher just took to his social media profile and confirmed the movie. He shared a picture with Sooraj Barjataya and wrote, “One of India’s finest directors, a great human being, and a friend #SoorajBarjataya narrated me the script of his next film #Oonchai. Having done around 518 films I would like to believe I have some sense about a good script. #Oonchai is certainly one of the finest film scripts I have heard in a long long time”

It is also reported that Amitabh Bachchan and Boman Irani have been approached and roped in for the movie and the official announcement will be out soon!
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anupam Kher is currently busy with The Kashmir Files, The Last Show, and the series New Amsterdam.
