Taapsee Pannu has completed eight years in Indian Cinema and to mark the occasion, she shared a collage picture of all her movies on social media. She shared a series of stories on her social media profile, she captioned one of them, “8 years since I saw myself speaking in my mother tongue on screen”
In the course of her eight-year-long career in the film industry, she has starred in several blockbusters like Badla, Pink, Naam Shabana, Mission Mangal, Judwaa 2, and more.
Pannu’s sole release of 2020 was Anubhav Sinha’s drama Thappad, where she played the role of Amrita, a home-maker who files for divorce after her husband slaps her. She said that the character’s “righteousness, her maturity to handle every situation” made her suffocate. The film and Pannu’s performance met with positive critical response.
Taapsee has begun filming for Looop Lapeta, which is an official remake of the 1998 German film Run Lola Run, and Dobaaraa with Anurag Kashyap. She finished shooting for the sports drama Rashmi Rocket and will be next seen in Vinil Mathew’s murder mystery Haseen Dillruba opposite Vikrant Massey.
Pannu has also signed to portray cricketer Mithali Raj in Shabaash Mitthu.
