Team of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ wraps up Chandigarh schedule; filmmaker Raj Mehta shares pictures on social media

The first shooting schedule of upcoming comedy film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ has been wrapped up in Chandigarh on Monday. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and YouTuber Prajakta Koli in pivotal roles.

Sharing two pictures along with crew of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ on his Instagram handle, Mehta wrote, “And that’s a schedule wrap!! What a ride! Have done many outdoor shoots but this one will be etched in the memory forever. A big thank you to each and every member of the crew. And of course, like I always say, the core of a film unit…the direction team! Blessed with another brilliant one! Cannot wait to get back for the next sched!!”.

The makers of the film had an eventful stint in the city. Shooting of the film had to be temporarily halted after actors Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and director Raj Mehta tested Covid-19 positive despite of taking necessary precautionary measures at the shooting locations. Shoot resumed after the actors and filmmakers recovered. On a happier note, Anil Kapoor celebrated his 64th birthday on the set on December 24.

Raj Mehta made his debut as a director with a film titled ‘Good Newwz’ (2019) which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles.

‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ is being produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions.
