Vikas Khanna Conferred With Asia Game Changers Award 2020

Chef and filmmaker Vikas Khanna is conferred with prestigious Asia Game Changers Award 2020.

Vikas Khanna, the TV host, writer and former executive chef at Junoon, filmmaker and humanitarian, made headlines with his relief effort that distributes food to vulnerable Indians during Covid Panedmic.

Michelin-starred Chef has been providing millions of meals to poor Indians who have suffered greatly under the coronavirus lockdown and for his gallant and selfless act; he has been conferred with Asia Game Changers Award 2020.

The filmmaker and chef Vikas Khanna took to his social media and expressed his gratitude. He wrote, “I have always looked up to Asia Society for connecting East & West. Today, I am proud to be awarded #AsiaGameChangers Award 2020. Humbled to be in the company of @BTS_twt @naomiosaka @YoYo_Ma @JoeClara #MikyLee  @AsiaSociety @AsiaSocietyNY”

Born in India, Khanna made his way to USA some 20 years ago to become world class chef, he started with dishwashing and delivery man job, but soon made his way to the top of the heap.

Vikas Khanna also made his directorial debut last year with “The Last Color” which addresses an age old taboo surrounding widows in Vrindavan and Varanasi in India. It deals with how a 9-year old tightrope walker befriends one such widow and promises to add color to her life. The film is adapted from Khanna’s own book ‘The Last Color’ published by Bloomsbury Publishing.
