Watching Movie On Silver Screen Is A Different Experience, Than OTT Says Deepak Dobriyal

Amidst the corona-virus pandemic cinema halls in several parts of the country reopened after seven months. The government recently allowed theatres and multiplexes, closed since March, to resume operations as per guidelines issued under Unlock 5.

Deepak Dobriyal, who is known for his portrayal of diverse characters and has created a space for himself in Bollywood talked about the fun and excitement of watching movies in a theatre, the actor was interacting with the media on the sidelines of Penninsula special screening in Mumbai.

Deepak talking more on it said, “I came to Mumbai for cinema, and cinema has given me the identity. And I think watching a movie on the silver screen gives you a different kick. Sitting with an unknown person, eating popcorn, laughing, and crying, this fun and enjoyment we don’t get in watching movies on OTT. In fact, I was waiting as the cinemas will start I will go for sure to watch the movies on the silver screen. And so I am here to enjoy the movie”

When asked about Deepak’s upcoming project, he said, “I have completed the shooting of my upcoming project amid pandemic, but with full precaution and care. Right now I can’t reveal the name now. But will surely tell you later”.

Dobriyal debuted in Irrfan Khan-starrer Maqbool, it was Omkara that established him as an actor and gave him recognition. The film served as a benchmark in content and storytelling.

He has featured in prominent roles in Dabangg 2, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Lucknow Central, Hindi Medium, and its spin-off, Angrezi Medium, alongside Irrfan.
