SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WORLD AUTISM DAY: While people with autism are viewed differently from others, the United Nations has made a brilliant effort in spreading awareness and encouraging people with autism. On this World Autism Awareness Day, we stand against discrimination and celebrate the diversity of our global community. It would actively strengthen our commitment to the full inclusion and also welcomes the people with autism to participate in it. However, encouraging and supporting them would bring them up with positivity in their life. Supporting them not only on this day but also every day of life would bring give them a sanguine attitude. Howbeit, you might have noticed or heard of some child born with autism are highly talented and they would prove it in every opportunity they get. So, Supporting and encouraging them to attain their full potential is a major part of the UN’s efforts, in order to achieve sustainable development in 2030. Every people should give an encouraging pat on their back which would make them achieve more in their life.

WORLD AUTISM DAY IN INDIA: While April 2nd is observed as World Autism Day, India has been doing its part every year by spreading awareness and understanding about autism. Several organizations in India spread awareness of autism and make people love and support people with autism. On this international awareness day, special schools and institutions across the country would come forward to spread awareness and understanding of autism amidst the people. Nevertheless, the word “Autism” appeared in Indian Literature for the very first time in 1959. Back in the days, people were less aware of this autism. It was only in 1994, the first special school for autism was opened called “Open door”. Even before in 1991, parents of the autism affected child began the “Action for Autism” which was an initiation to support and encourage people with the same disorder. Thus, the special schools and several organizations have started to spread awareness and support people with the disorder. Since the brain functions are not well, the autism people are still leading a normal life and are more talented than others with the help of the special schools and their training.
