Chennai 15th Jan: In 2020 the world had come to a standstill. The arts had taken a step back while chaos took over households flooding cities and countries with fear. It is time to rise up above the mess and come together to unite and create. Create art, music and dance.
Remember what it is like to feel alive again. The World of Dance is an American reality competition television series executive produced by Jennifer Lopez. The WORLD OF DANCE series was created in partnership with the World of Dance enterprise, which produces dance competitions and dance lifestyle events in more than 25 countries, spanning the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia. Videos captured from these events have driven more than 1 billion views online. The World of Dance – Chennai Qualifiers is taking place on the 9th and 10th of February at SPR City, Chennai.
The championship series around the world, see thousands of submissions from various individuals and groups. The championship series are divided into four divisions: Junior (groups of 1-4, under 18), Upper (groups of 1-4, 18 and older), Junior Team (groups of 5+, under 18) and Upper Team (groups of 5+, 18 and older).
Given the existing pandemic situation, we have taken measures to ensure safety and security of the participants. We are following all the protocols as per Government’s orders and utmost discretion. Proper sanitary measures will be taken at the venue to ensure the safety of the participants, judges and all those working in this event.
Your talent is not limited by your location, the championship series will then take part in various other cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Delhi with the final India Championship taking place in Mumbai in July 2021. The world may have been at a standstill last year, but together we are finding our way back to everyday life and art that helps us keep the world alive and sane.
