Food Consulate in association with Fondbites School of Sugar Arts presents Open Cake Challenge 2020, a three-day event to promote the trade of making cakes and pastry. The event has the following components for the enthusiasts and interested people to participate
On Saturday 25th January 2020, around 75 students from diﬀerent colleges and schools from in and around TamilNadu will participate in a simple fresh cream cake making competition. The theme will be “Celebration Party Cakes”. The cakes will be kept for display and will be judged by Chef Willi Wilson, Cake Artist Subhashini Ramsingh and Chef Jins Paul.
On Sunday 26th January 2020, around 75 Homebakers from all over South India will participate in the advance fondant cake with the theme of “Festivals around the world”. This will showcase the advanced skills of Homebakers and their cakes will be judged by the top Cake Artist and Chefs from India. Cake Artist Arati Mirji, Cake Artist Anna Austin and Chef Rumana Jaseel will be the judges for this category.
Every entry can win the Gold, Silver and or Bronze certiﬁcate and there is a sizable Cash and GiG prizes for the top three entries. All participants will get participation certiﬁcate and inputs on how to improve their cakes professionally by the judges.
