India, 11th September, 2019 :- SodaBottleOpenerWala is proud to announce that Chef Irfan Pabaney, known for the unique touches given to menus across Mumbai’s most sought after restaurants has joined SodaBottleOpenerWala, the much loved Bombay Irani Café and Bar chain, as Country Head.

SodaBottleOpenerwala today is the largest brand of the Olive Bar and Kitchen Group, in terms of presence in the country, with a total of 8 outlets across 4 cities.

Born in Colombia and brought up in the Philippines before moving to Mumbai in 1980, Irfan Pabaney has been a Chef for the past twenty-seven years and he joins SodaBottleOpenerWala with a strong vision for the brand’s menu offerings while retaining their quintessential spirit of a Bombay Irani Café. This will be along with taking the brand a notch above in terms of hospitality and brand equity.

According to Chef Irfan “I am excited to join a hospitality group that is one of the leaders in the industry. My focus will be to make the Parsi Irani and Bombay Street Food spread even more exciting at SodaBottleOpenerWala! At the same time as a brand, we intend to keep getting more young, quirky and vibrant.”

While the most loved and popular signatures such as Berry Pulao, Dhansak, Salli Chicken, and Parsi Mutton Masala roast will continue to be a part of the menu, there will be some surprises that should be interesting.

More About Chef Irfan Pabaney

Chef Irfan Pabaney was born in Bogota, Colombia and lived the first four years of his life in South America, thanks to his father being with the United Nations.He moved to the Philippines in 1970, where he lived till 1979 (hence his love for S.E. Asia) before moving to Nigeria, and subsequently back to India in 1980. Chef Irfan Pabaney has been at the helm of some of the most notable restaurants, in the 27 years that he has been in this business. Under the Over, Seijo and the Soul Dish, Indigo and Hakkasan have been some of the restaurants that he has been associated with. 20 years later he finally decided to branch out on his own along with his partner and co-owner to start their dream restaurant, The Sassy Spoon. This was his last stint before joining SodaBottleOpenerWala.
