Well, most of us rely on our computers, laptops, and mobiles for official work. This would make every one of us spend most of our time in front of the screens without even realizing how much time has been consumed by sitting in front of them. However, your instinct would make you realize that it is bad for you but still you ignore it. Well, it does not mean that sitting all day in front of the screens would never allow you to lead a healthy lifestyle. But then, you have to follow some simple tips which would help you stay healthy while working on your computer all day. Just check them out and act accordingly to develop a healthy body even if you are working from home or at the office.

PLACE YOUR LAPTOP IN THE RIGHT POSITION:

The position of your laptop should be perfect in a way that it should never make you lean over or bend. If not, it would lead to back and neck pain as well. And if you are looking too upward, it would push you to experience dry eyes. So, you have to have a computer stand or table or use some books to set the right position for your laptop to avoid any aches or pains later.

TRY TO MAINTAIN A GOOD SITTING POSTURE:

While experiencing neck and back pain is considered to be a common issue when you sit in front of the screens for hours and hours, the screen must be at the same level as your eyes as this would help you sit straight and comfortable. All you have to do is to sit with your shoulders being pulled back and relaxed and sit up tall in a way your forearms would be parallel to the ground. This would help prevent you from leaning and reaching your keyboard perfectly while sitting relaxed.

STAY HYDRATED:

When you feel drowsy while working, it would even cause dehydration in rare cases. And even people would mistake thirst for hunger which would make them overeat. On the other hand, you would literally forget about drinking water when you are plunged into work completely. So, all these issues have one solution which is drinking enough water and staying hydrated. Just ensure to have a bottle of water in front of you or place it on the table as this would tempt you to consume more water. This would also make you get up and walk to refill your water bottle.

TRY TO BLINK MORE:

If you sit in front of your computer, you should concentrate on blinking more often. Gazing at the screen for hours would make you blink less than you do normally. So, you need to focus on blinking more often. You could also try to stare at the space which is some 20 feet away from you and blink at least for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

KEEP AN ALARM FOR EVERY HOUR:

Walk around the office and stretch often while you are at work as it is such a good habit that helps your body to be healthy. Due to the engrossment of work, you might not notice your time and so set an alarm for every hour and ensure to walk around the office and have a few minutes break, or when you go for the restroom, just make sure to walk extra. This would prevent you from sticking to the chair all day which is not a healthy one for you.
