Most people are choosing to work from home even after the lockdown which turns out to be new normal now. Generally, people have a preconceived notion that work from home is an easy task but only people who are into it know how challenging it is. One thing that could be challenging is following a good nutritious diet when you choose to work from home. This is because you might get a conference call while you are actually satisfying your stomach or provided immediate works or project thereby missing your lunch and even you do not care about eating anything as you are immersed in your work. So what happens? You would end up binging a whole pack of chips or snacking some unwanted foods. Well, this would have an impact on your waistline, interrupt your weight loss process, and stops you from being productive. Come on, let’s check out some of the simple and effective ways to go healthy while you are working from home.

SCHEDULE YOUR SNACK AND MEAL TIMES:

Perhaps, you could have planned for your day as if workout time, shower time, breakfast, etc. Similarly, you should plan for your lunch if you are going to have and even plan for your snacking time as well. Start to schedule food time as if you are working at the office. You know you could not simply have your hands on snacks and so do the same at home as well.

CONSUME ENOUGH WATER:

When your body lacks water, it would lead to dehydration which in turn causes headaches and fatigue. As a result, you could be less productive. Remember this office scene where you fill up a water bottle and keep it on your desk to stay hydrated? So, that’s what you are gonna follow right here at home as well. This would tempt you to drink more water and keeps you hydrated throughout the day.

AVOID BUYING JUNK FOODS:

If you stock up your fridge with junk foods or snacks, then it would deliberately provide you the idea of eating carefree. So, try to discard junk foods or unhealthy foods from your menu.

AVOID WORKING IN OR NEAR THE KITCHEN:

Do not work in or near the kitchen as it would tempt you to check the fridge infinitely. So, make sure you are in the kitchen only when you need to have your planned snack or meal. Stay out from the kitchen or set your table in a way kitchen is out of your sight.

BE CAUTIOUS OF CAFFEINE INTAKE:

No desk is complete without a coffee mug. When you have too much caffeine, you might be prone to headaches, anxiety, digestive issues, and even fatigue which would prevent you from being productive. You gotta ensure to stop sipping more than two cups of coffee per day to avoid a jittery feel.

FOCUS ON EATING WHILE YOU ARE ACTUALLY EATING:

Some people might have this habit of working while having their lunch but this is not a good idea though. This distraction from meals would make you over-eat and lowers your full feel. So, take a break from your chair and have your lunch and relax for a few minutes. You would thus enjoy what you are eating and be ready for the rest of your day.

ADD THE REAL AND NUTRITIOUS FOODS:

When it comes to a healthy diet, balanced and nutritious foods would help you stay fuller for longer and focused too. Of course, only if you keep your body healthy, you would be more productive at work. Do remember that what you intake would have a greater impact on your mood and energy level. Almost every one of you might have experienced this as how your mood goes when you have something more nutritious and delicious.
