GRAND MERCURE BANGALORE BRINGS THE RICH LEGACY OF ANGLO-INDIAN CUISINE TO THE TABLE

A LIMITED-PERIOD DINING EXPERIENCE CURATED WITH ACCLAIMED COOKBOOK AUTHOR AND CULINARY RESEARCHER BRIDGET WHITE-KUMAR, BRINGING HERITAGE RECIPES AND TIMELESS FLAVOURS TO THE TABLE IN CELEBRATION OF WORLD ANGLO-INDIAN DAY.

Continuing its commitment to celebrating India’s rich culinary heritage, Grand Mercure Bangalore brings The Anglo-Indian Heritage Table. A limited-period culinary experience curated in collaboration with award-winning cookbook author, culinary researcher, and food consultant Bridget White-Kumar.

Drawing from recipes that evolved across Dak Bungalows, Army Camps, Railways, and Country Clubs during the British Raj, the specially curated menu brings together a selection of Anglo-Indian classics that reflect the cuisine’s distinctive blend of Indian and European influences. Rooted in family recipes and historical research, the experience offers guests an opportunity to rediscover a culinary tradition shaped by generations of cultural exchange and one that has played a significant role in India’s gastronomic heritage.

The culinary experience will be showcased across two of the hotel’s signature dining venues. Guests can indulge in a specially curated dinner buffet at The Verandah on 31st July and 1st August, featuring a selection of Anglo-Indian classics, followed by a specially curated Sunday Brunch buffet at By The Blue on 2nd August, which also marks World Anglo-Indian Day, featuring an expanded spread of heritage favourites.
