Aditi Bhatt, Rohan Gurbani go down fighting at  BWF World Junior Championships
 
New Delhi, October 10: India’s journey in singles came to an end as both Aditi Bhatt and Rohan Gurbani gave their all but could not outclass their higher-ranked opponents at the ongoing BWF World Junior Championships in Kazan, Russia on Thursday.

While in girls’ singles, Aditi lost to 4th seeded Indonesian Putri Kusuma Wardani 11-21,15-21 in a 30-minute long match, Rohan Gurbani also went down fighting after he lost to Junior World No. 24 Ren Cheng Ming of China with a 15-21,13-21 scoreline. Rohan exited after losing Round 5 in boys singles while Aditi’s loss happened in Round 4 of her category.

With both these defeats, India’s journey in the singles category came to an end on Day Four of the individual event as both the shuttlers missed their opportunity to make it through to the quarter-finals.
