Apparel Sourcing Week, India’s premier platform in retail sourcing is scheduled to be hosted in Bengaluru from February 20 to 22, 2020. Aiming to become a comprehensive sourcing show, Apparel Sourcing Week 2020 is expected to host over 10,000 visitors from Indian and international retail. This number is on its way to increase further with visitation still coming in from beyond India.

The show will open its doors to 100 global garment manufacturers from India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and China – each one known in the industry for their focus on creativity, quality, delivery commitments and compliance to social obligations. There will also be around 50 innovative manufacturers and suppliers of fashion fabrics and accessories, showcasing the best of their collections for the visitors and exhibitors to visualise and plan future assortments.

The three days’ event will also conduct 9 seminars, 6 workshops and 8 open house discussions with industry experts, and 4 vendor sessions – 2 each from global as well as Indian retailers, along with networking lunches on all three days. The forthcoming second edition of this premier show will be in line with the vision to develop Apparel Sourcing Week as a Go-To Sourcing Platform for all retailers and brands looking for premium manufacturers from around the world.

The topics that will be covered in the seminars will include

Day-1 ‘Changes in Consumer Trends’, ‘Global Trade Environment’ and ‘Sustainability’.

Day-2 ‘Collaborations in Sourcing’ and ‘Circular Economy and Its Challenges’.

Day-3 ‘Retail Disruption’ and ‘Understanding Markets Beyond Metros’.

Moreover, the exclusive ‘Trend Forecast Workshops on Spring/Summer 2021’ and ‘Workshop on Running Effective Sustainable Business’ make ASW 2020 a complete package for the fashion and retail industry.

After a self-nomination process, 10 companies shall be shortlisted to display at ASW2020, out of which 5 will be further selected to present their start-ups to 4 Venture Capitalists at a special VC forum on the first day of the event.
