Actress Hina Khan, who made Hindi film debut with Vikram Bhatt directorial ‘Hacked’, has said that she is overwhelmed with audience response to the film and her character in the film. She added that it is very difficult for a television actor to break the barrier and work in films.

Hina Khan was interacting with the media at Aspiring She Awards 2020 on Saturday in Mumbai.

Talking about audience response to ‘Hacked’ in which she shared screen space with Rohan Shah, Mohit Malhotra and Sid Makkar, Hina said, “I am overwhelmed with the kind of response the film got and especially my character. For a television actor, it is very difficult. I have heard many reviewers who said good things about the film and my character so, I am feeling really happy. I think it is very difficult for a television actor to break that barrier and to work in films so, if people loved my performance, I am feeling glad and thankful.”

Sharing her feeling after receiving an award at Aspiring She Awards 2020, Hina said, “Women’s day is round the corner. We should celebrate women for entire year at least, I look at it that way. For entire year, I feel special and I make sure that people around me make me feel special because I also make them feel special. In such atmosphere, if you are awarded for something where you have put in a lot of hard work, it feels amazing.”

Hina added, “I have got this award for my sense of style so, I feel honored. I liked the title ‘Aspiring She’ so, if I may be 5 or 10 percent inspire anyone which I believe I do because I do get a lot of messages. A lot of people tweet about me and they get really worried when I am not there. They want me to dress up, they want me to do videos on make-up, hair and fitness so, I really appreciate it. If you get appreciation for that then you will feel motivated to do good work.”

When asked Hina whether she feels that women should felicitated more in today’s day and age for their contribution towards society, she said, “I don’t feel that it is written somewhere that women should be felicitated. I think men also deserve every kind of felicitation so, it is not like that women deserves everything. International Women’s Day is coming so if on that occasion, women from different walk of life are being felicitated and they are being appreciated for their work then it feels very nice so, I feel be it men or women, we all should be appreciated.”

Talking about her upcoming projects, Hina said, “I have another digital film coming up on Zee5 and after that, I am in talks for other projects as well. As of now, my digital film ‘Unlock’ is going to release.”

Hina Khan and Kushal Tandon will be soon seen in Zee5’s digital film ‘Unlock: The Haunted App’. The film will premiere on Zee5 on March 13.
