THE BIRTHDAY OF AN INDIAN POLITICIAN AND BUSINESSMAN – NITIN GADKARI!
An Indian politician and businessman from Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari is the current Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India and Shipping Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India. When it comes to the country, he has done several contributions from his side. However, he is well-known for his work as the Public Works Department Minister of the State of Maharashtra and it is under his leadership, a series of roads, highways, and flyovers have been laid across the state were constructed and opened for public use. These constructions would also include the Mumbai-Pune Expressway which is India’s first six-lane concrete, high-speed expressway. He served as the Minister of Public Work Department (PWD) of the Government of Maharashtra from 1995 to 199 and also rebuilt it entirely. Importantly, he has also served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) right from 2010 to 2013.
Currently, he is representing the Nagpur Constituency in the Lok Sabha who is actually a lawyer and industrialist by occupation. Howbeit, Gadkari retained his seat in last year’s election. He served well by increasing the pace of road creation in the country from 2km/day to 16.5 km/day in his first year of service as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways and to 21km/day in the second year and at the end of 2018, it was 30km/day. When he retained the seat again, Gadkari is known to be the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways but the Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation were replaced with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises back in May 2019.
Well, Gadkari is successful in both the field of his occupations and today, he is turning 63. He became the youngest president of the BJP in 2009 and has been doing extraordinary things in the development projects of the country. The man himself is the super-human in both political activities and industrial things as well.
