SURULI, THE TAMIL GANGSTER IN JAGAME THANTHIRAM:

Jagame Thanthiram is an action drama directed by Karthick Subbaraj. It portrays the story of a gangster who moves from Madurai to London. In this movie, the protagonist Suruli is seen wearing western attires when he reached London. However, he appears in traditional Veshti and shirt when he is gifted with land in London by his foreign head. Suruli transforms it into LITTLE MADURAI and appears in the traditional attires wherein the music starts. The climax of the movie is unparalleled as he appears in a classy black winter coat paired with white veshti. It goes well with black stylish goggles as well. The gunfire and snow paint the scene on fleek.

THE NATIONAL AWARD CEREMONY:

In the recent national award ceremony, the thespian was conferred with Best Actor for his action movie, Asuran. Dhanush made his appearance in the traditional veshti and shirt attire that proffered the simple and humble look. The 67th National Film Awards held on the 25th of October displayed the most amazing versatile actor receiving the award with an authentic look.

SIVASAMY IN ASURAN:

The young actor happily accepted the prestigious national award earlier for the movIe, Asuran. The movie is itself an example where he played the character of Sivasamy appears in the simplest and traditional form of attire. The veshti and shirt seem to be the major costume of the actor in the movie. Even one of the posters of the movie featured the actor in white veshti and shirt along with a black coat and the actress, Manju Warrier in a traditional saree stands beside him.
