Actor Akshay Kumar drops the first official trailer for Mission Raniganj – The Great Bharat Rescue, and this one is racy, thrilling and inspirational.
Sharing the trailer on his social media, Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill ji, eh trailer twahdi yaad vich twahdi bahaduri nu samarpit hai. In your memory, saluting your courage. Rab rakha. #MissionRaniganjTrailer out now: #MissionRaniganj in cinemas on 6th October.”
The film is based on an IIT Dhanbad mining engineer, Jaswant Singh Gill who is a brave, honest, and diligent mining engineer, who rescued 65 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989.
Survival thriller is helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Pooja Entertainment. The film is written by Vipul K Rawal, it is based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989, in West Bengal.
Mission Raniganj was originally titled Capsule Gill and later The Great Indian Rescue. It was finally changed to Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue.
The film also stars Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Gaurav Prateek, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, Omkar Das Manikpuri and more.
The film is scheduled to be released on 6 October 2023.
