Earlier last weekend, many Bollywood stars attended a special event in Delhi along with Narendra Modi on 150th Gandhi Jayanti. The event was to discuss ways to spread Gandhi’s teaching for the new generation. Clips and pictures from the event have been shared by several stars, one such video showed, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan interacting at the event with PM Narendra Modi.
SRK who is known for witty speeches started his speech with humour at the meet. A video shows SRK jokingly saying, “Thank you sir for calling us here. Usually actors don’t come on time and never at one place together. But because of this film and because of you and because of Gandhiji, we have got friendlier. I and Aamir even hugged, there’s love growing between us.”
Aamir was seen sitting in the front row smiled at his mention during the speech. SRK later went on to share a picture with the two on twitter. He captioned the post as, “Thank u @narendramodi for hosting us & having such an open discussion on #ChangeWithin & the role artistes can play in spreading awareness of the msgs of The Mahatma. Also the idea of a University of Cinema is extremely opportune!”
During the meet speech, Shah Rukh Khan also talked about Gandhigiri 2.0 video and shared how it is important to re-introduce Gandhiji’s teachings for the future generation. On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan after Zero hasn’t announced his next project yet.
