Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar unveiled the game FAU-G’s anthem and its release date.

The game’s creation was first announced when the Indian government banned wildly popular mobile game PUBG or Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds in September 2020 soon after border tensions with China escalated.

Actor took to his social media and shared the Anthem. He captioned it, “FAU-G Anthem…Whether it’s a problem within the country or at the border…these Bharat Ke Veer always stand tall. They are our Fearless And United Guards, our FAU-G! Witness the anthem….Pre-register now…Launch 26/1 @vishygo @ncore_games_official #BharatKeVeer #FAUG”

FAU-G, which is based on the Indian Army’s soldiers, is set to release on January 26. The anthem and release date announcements come as PUBG Corporation tries to make a comeback in India, with a new game specially designed for the Indian market.

A short video from the game shows a scenario set in Ladakh where Indian soldiers go up against enemy troops. Unlike PUBG that was a battle royale, FAU-G will have episodes or missions.

Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay Kumar has also lined-up Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey and Prithviraj for the release in 2021.

Prithviraj is a historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. It is based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film will mark the acting debut of Manushi Chhillar.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in pivotal roles.
