Araku Valley!

Popularly known for its Coffee Plantations. Araku Valley hill station an extremely picturesque is located in the district of Vishakapatnam in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, inhabited by different tribes.  This Araku valley is the main attraction of this place.

In 2007,  India’s first tribal growers’ organic coffee brand was launched in Araku.  The premium organic “Araku Emerald” brand of coffee sells globally.

Besides coffee, the hill station is also popular for its forests, lovely orchards and the serene environment. The Tribal museum is worth visiting since it holds a range of tribal handicrafts and artifacts of the indigenous tribal lifestyle.

It’s a perfect getaway from the hustle-bustle city life, this valley is surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi.

The valley is connected by both rail and road to the city of Vishakapatnam. There are two railway stations at Araku on the Kothavalasa-Kirandul railway line of Visakhapatnam division of the East Coast Railway, on the Indian Railways network. Shimiliguda railway station is located at an altitude of 996 meters above mean sea level.

Beautiful, and much untouched, this place is waiting to be explored and a perfect place for Coffee Freaks too!
