Grand Finale to Special Olympics IFC 2019 on August 6 2019

Chennai, India. – The Special Olympics International Football Championship 2019 will draw to a grand close on August 6 at Jawaharlal Nehru Outdoor Stadium.After two days of league matches between 12 countries, the last day of SOIFC 2019 commenced with the final set of matches which decide the winners of the Championship. The winners and all the participants were awarded their medals and trophies during the Awards Ceremony at 4 PM by dignitaries Dr. Amar Prasad Reddy, Chairman SOIFC 2019, Shri Sengottiyan Hon’ble Minister for Honble Minister  of Sport & School education Govt Tamil Nadu, Shri Dr. C. Vijaybaskar Hon’ble Minister Health & Family welfare Govt Tamil Nadu, Shri  Ravi Pachamoothoo, SRM University and Mr. Christian Guiralt ,Director of Sports & Development Special Olympics International USA Washington DC in the presence of  the organizer of the event, Evoke Media and team, Special Olympics Asia Pacific and Special Olympics Bharat representatives, Lions Club and Youth Development Consortium officials, SOIFC 2019 Goodwill Ambassadors and Youth Icons, top football clubs in the city, students of various city schools and colleges, the press, and the general public at the event.

Day 3 witnessed the teams battling it out for the title at the finals of SOIFC 2019 Chennai. The day began slightly early today at 8.00 am. SO Malaysia won the first place , SO Korea second, SO Bharat 1 third & SO Bangladesh bagged the place under division one. SO Egypt bagged the first place, Austria Second & SO Maldives  third under Division 2 male teams.SO Myanmar came first, Indonesia second & SO Bharat 2 under male division 3.SO Russia won the first place followed by SO Phillipines at the second place, SO Bangladesh at third and SO Bharat at 4th Place under division 1 Female. SO Indonesia came first under Division 2 folloewd by SO UAE at second place, SO Malaysia at Third and SO Maldives at fourth place under Division 2 Female. The Champion ship came to a close with the grand finale ceremony at evening 4.30 pm
