Priyanka Chopra on Saturday was seen at the BeautyConLA where she talked about feminism, future and more on the stage. The actress was yelled at by a Pakistani fan who accused her of encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan, however, Priyanka did have a fitting reply for the fan.
On Saturday while on stage Priyanka was accused by another event attendee for encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan. She recalled Priyanka’s tweet after India’s retaliation on Pakistan during Pulwama attacks The tweet read, “Jai Hind (Long live India) #IndianArmedForces.,”
The alleged Pakistani woman screamed at the actress for the act. She said, “You are United Nations Goodwill ambassador for peace and you are encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan. There is no way you are in this …As a Pakistani, millions of people, like, me, have supported you in your business,”
Priyanka waited for her to finish speaking, calmly asked if she was done and then went on to clear the air. The actress went on to say she is a patriot and but is not a War supporter.
She said, “I hear you!, I have many, many friends from Pakistan and I am from India. War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me. But I think that all of us have a sort of, a middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well. The way that you came at me right now… girl, don’t yell. We’re all here for love.”
On the work front, Priyanka will be seen next in ‘The Sky Is Pink’ as a mother alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. She is currently gearing up for the collaborating with American actress Mindy Kaling for a wedding film.
