Randeep Hooda and Naseeruddin Shah starrer ‘John Day’ clocks seven years

Actor Randeep Hooda and Naseeruddin Shah starrer thriller film ‘John Day’ clocked seven years on Sunday. Randeep took to his Instagram handle to announce that the film which released in 2013 will stream on leading online digital platform Netflix for his fan and followers.

Sharing poster of ‘John Day’ on his Instagram handle, Randeep wrote a Hindi caption, “दुनिया का सबसे ख़तरनाक जानवर इंसान ही होता है।। #JohnDay @netflix @netflix_in”.

In the poster, Randeep can be seen smoking a cigarette and pointing a gun towards a man. His recent post translates in English as ‘Human being is the most dangerous animal of the world’.

‘John Day’ is directed by Ahishor Solomon and produced by K Asif, Anjum Rizvi and Aatef A Khan. The film features Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda, Vipin Sharma, Shernaz Patel as main characters.

It is an unofficial remake of the Spanish thriller ‘Box 507’. The story of ‘John Day’ revolves around a righteous bank manager John Day (Naseeruddin Shah) who is devastated when his daughter is found dead on her clandestine camping trip with a boyfriend to a desolate estate. John suspects foul play when years later, his wife faces a similar fate. The mysterious tragedies ignite his quest for truth and vengeance. Turns out, John is a pawn in a bigger conspiracy that involves gum-chewing-gun-wielding, bad-ass cop Gautam (Randeep Hooda).

Randeep Hooda was last seen in onscreen in a Netflix film named ‘Extraction’ along with Chris Hemsworth.

Randeep next will be seen in Prabhu Deva directorial action-thriller film ‘Radhe’ along with Salman Khan, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.
