BFFs Neha Dhupia and Soha Ali Khan who also recently become mothers for the first time shared their breastfeeding experience for ‘World Breastfeeding Week’ on Instagram and now TV actress Shveta Salve has penned a heartfelt post about fears she faced along with a throwback picture with daughter Arya.
The picture on Instagram shows Shveta breastfeeding her little daughter Arya who is now a few years older. Salve is known for shows like ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Left Right Left’ among other.
She even captioned the picture talking about feeling fear to post the image and how she overcame it. She even shared her worries about Arya will react in the future and about the possibility of being trolled. “I contemplated a lot whether I should post this image or not … Whether Arya will grow up and be embarrassed about it…Whether I’ll get trolled by people who will judge me , call me names or just be obnoxious with their degrading sexual comments”
“But then I took a long look at this picture again and all I saw was the look in my baby’s eyes and how she and I were connected in this sacred moment. This bond is strong and so precious…you can see the vulnerability in her eyes, her trust in her Mamma who she knows will nurture her, protect her and will always be there by her side. This is that moment of Truth, of courage and of an everlasting togetherness and I am proud of it. #worldbreastfeedingweek #liquidgold #freedomtofeed” she added.
Neha Dhupia and Soha Ali Khan also shared their stories of breastfeeding in public and the stigma around it as they advocated Neha’s campaign called #FreedomToFeed. It aims to create more awareness about Breast Feeding and how women should not feel apologetic about it.
