Actor Sanjay Kapoor, who next will be seen in ‘The Zoya Factor’, has said that there is an important message in his upcoming romantic-drama film which will go well with the audience.

Sanjay Kapoor was interacting with the media at the special screening of ‘The Zoya Factor’ on Thursday in Mumbai.

Sanjay Kapoor plays role of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s father in ‘The Zoya Factor’, sharing his feeling before the release of the film, Kapoor said, “I am feeling nervous, happy as well as excited for the release of the film so, it’s a mixed feeling. Everybody is liking the posters, teaser, trailer of the film. For first time, the audience is going to see a real life uncle playing role of a father to an actress. I feel Sonam (Kapoor), Dulquer (Salmaan) and all other actors have done really well so, there is a lot of excitement among the audience to see the film. Sonam’s film is releasing after a while. I worked in ‘Mission Mangal’ which released last month and now ‘The Zoya Factor’ is releasing so, it’s an exciting time for me.”

‘The Zoya Factor’ follows the story of a girl, Zoya Solanki (Sonam Kapoor Ahuja), who becomes a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup, and the skipper Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan) who doesn’t believe in luck and superstitions.

Sanjay Kapoor feels that there is an important message in his upcoming film which will go well with the audience, he said, “I saw the film on Monday. It’s a very neat, clean, breezy and fun film. It’s a film about cricket but it has been made in a different way. In the end of the film, there is an important message which I think will go well with the audience. There are a lot of people who are superstitious including me and a lot people think luck is very important including me but finally we all know being in this industry for so long that it’s not about luck but you have to work very hard to achieve what you achieve and then luck does play a part but it’s not the only thing which contributes to your success.”

Celebrities like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Anand Ahuja, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Dulquer Salmaan, Amal Sufiya, Sanjana  Sanghi, Abhimanyu Dassani, Atul Kasbekar, Sikandar Kher, Tanishaa Mukerji, Pragya Kapoor, Shikha Talsania, Sayani Gupta, Angad Bedi, Karishma Tanna, Mohit Marwah, Antara Motiwala, Kunal kemmu and Sophie Choudry attended special screening of the film.

When asked Kapoor whether he believes in having lucky charm and superstition, he said, “There are a lot of things which I feel are my lucky charm but my superstition is that I don’t like it when someone calls me from my back when I am going to do for some important work. My family doesn’t believe much in superstition so when they leave house by drinking water then I keep saying them do not drink water before leaving house. There is a scene in Mughal-E-Azam that they leave house after having sweets so, these are some things which are in my mind which tells when you are going to do some good work then have sweets but don’t drink water.”

‘The Zoya Factor’ is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty and Aarti Shetty.

It is releasing on 20th September, 2019.
