Chennai’s East Coast Road is probably the best place to spend your weekend. After a long week, there are numerous amazing and natural places to relax and rejuvenate. Cholamandal Artists’ Village

If you enjoy spending your days surrounded by art and artists, this is the first place you should go. Cholamandal Artists’ Village has art galleries where you can walk around and see some of the best artists in the country at work. There are art exhibitions going on all year, so you never have to worry about missing out. You can also sit in the cafeteria and have a nice conversation with all of the artists, as well as visit the gift and book shop inside and see what you like. You can stay for at least three hours before moving on to another location. Some people, however, are content to spend the entire day in the village.

VGP Kingdom

This is not a place that you will soon forget. The VGP Kingdom is one of Chennai’s most popular amusement parks or attractions. You can spend the entire day with your family riding and playing on all of the park’s rides. If you don’t feel like playing sports or riding the rides, you can just relax at the VGP Golden Beach at the end of the amusement park.

Another thing you should do while in the VGP Kingdom is visit the VGP Marine Kingdom. Many people mistake this location for a regular aquarium. However, it is an underwater aquarium with hundreds of marine life. Inside the tunnel, the entire environment is showered in bluish light and pristine water. You will never be sorry for the experience because it is not available anywhere else in the country.

Muttukadu

Muttukadu used to be an out-of-the-way place in Chennai, but it has grown in popularity in recent years. The location is a lake where boat rides can be taken to explore the water. This location is best visited in the early evenings, just before sunset. Seeing the sunset from a boat in Muttukadu is probably the most surreal experience you can have in ECR. The cost of a boat ride ranges from 150 to 550 per ride.

Fisherman’s Cove Beach Resort by Taj

If you’re not on a budget and want to spend the rest of the weekend in a beautiful beach resort with greenish outdoor areas and spas, this is the place to be. This is one of the most luxurious beach resorts in ECR, and the landscape and views will leave you speechless. Adventure Aero Sports Association – Paragliding Facility

If you have an adventurous spirit, paragliding after training at the Adventure Aero sports centre will be a fantastic place to visit. With an expert by your side, you will be able to experience Chennai’s view of the Bay of Bengal. A ride will cost around 2,000 per person, but we are confident that it will be well worth it.
