Gandhigram Trust is launching a collection of contemporary Khadi clothing range called Samhita. These 100% hand-spun and hand-woven collection includes tops, kurtas, dresses and jumpsuits for women, and shirts and kurtas for men. There will also be a wide variety of saris, stoles, shawls, towels and dhotis available. Sourced directly from the skilled artisans and craftsmen and designed by leading designers, Samhita is sure to impress customers who look to purchase traditional Indian products with a modern touch.
An exhibition of Samhita has been scheduled on October 20 and 21, 2023 at The Folly, Amethyst for customers to look and feel the newly launched range.
All the sales proceeds of the exhibition will go towards development initiatives and causes of Gandhigram Trust, which was established in 1947 under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, with the objective of building an independent and self-reliant rural India. In line with the strong principles of Gandhiji, khadi production is the prime focus of the Trust which is looking to help expand Khadi usage for the benefit of spinners and weavers.
